- The Media Magician

This area will expose the secrets of many multimedia technologies. The Media Magician is available in a Q & A format to answer questions on how to integrate various multimedia technologies into your performances and presentations.

No buzz words are included here. (Unless, of course, they are linked to a good definition in the Epigraf Glossary.)

Common procedures will also be banned from this area. Instead, they will be linked to an appropriate space within the Epigraf Protocologist, also a Q & A forum.

The final links to a complete understanding of the Media Magician can be found in the Epigraf AnaList, another Q & A forum whose format uses the all-powerful "analogy" as its method of choice for conveying tough conceptual ideas.

Questions will be displayed in the appropriate forum for all to see, read, and (hopefully) understand! Anything is understandable if you are willing to continue asking questions. So crank up the E-Mail and fire away...

Typical Setup using the InfraMIDI Equator.

Compact Disc Player triggered via MIDI sequencer.

This bit of alchemy involves a CD player and MIDI sequencer.

InfraMIDI Equator connected to MIDI keyboard controls most brands of CD Players.

A CD player can now be operated with any MIDI sequencer. Use it to trigger sound effects, walk-in music for performance, or submixed parts recorded onto recordable CDs. Your options are as wide as your creativity...

Home Automation

This is one of many exciting applications for the InfraMIDI Equator. Here, we branch out of the more common multimedia applications of the InfraMIDI Equator and concentrate on its automation capabilities. Anything controllable from an infrared (IR) remote control can be controlled by the Equator. Let's start with lighting. I know what you're thinking: "none of my lights are infrared controllable!" That's almost correct, but not quite. In true multimedia fashion, we're going to mix up a few technologies which will bring your plug-in-the-wall & light switch lighting under control of the InfraMIDI Equator.

That's all there is to it! You now have integrated multimedia lighting for as many lights as you wish to control.
